Akshardham - Ten gates

After the high security at the entrance of Akshardham, we are invited by the Ten Gates which represents the ten principal directions described in the indian culture and the ten gates reflect the vedic sentiments of inviting goodness from everywhere to all the visitors.


These ten principal directions described in the indian culture specifies the various directions that our country has taken in the past years from the ancient time. Some of the few to name are music, dance, literature, languages, religions, architecture and customs.


The directions specified are from the days of our indus valley civilisation through various stages from the ancient to modern days and its a treat to watch the view of the temple campus from the different directions of these 10 huge arch gates which gives a heavenly feeling to the temple we are entering in.
